With the onset of favorable conditions, Input production & Distribution Unit of National Research & Development Centre for Aquaculture (NR&DCA) Gelephu has commenced Seed propagation activities of carps from 3rd March 2020. These activities will be continue until the end of August 2020. 27 sets of Common carp were kept in 2 ponds for successful spawning and further rearing. For the year, 2020 NR&DCA has earmarked to produce 12 lakhs high quality fingerlings (Ordinary & Stunted) to met fingerlings demand for twelve Dzongkhags in the country.
